Returns / Refund Policy

1. Donations Are Non-Refundable

All donations made to Humanitarian Foundation are voluntary and non-refundable, as they are immediately allocated to ongoing humanitarian and community development projects.

2. Refunds for Technical Errors

A refund may be issued only in the following situations:

  • Duplicate donation due to a technical error

  • Failed payment where funds were still deducted

  • Incorrect amount charged due to system malfunction

To request a correction or refund, please contact us within 7 days with:

  • Your name

  • Date of donation

  • Transaction ID / bank slip

  • Payment method

  • Reason for refund request

3. Unauthorized or Fraudulent Transactions

If you suspect an unauthorized transaction, notify us immediately. We will assist you and coordinate with your bank/payment provider.

4. Processing Time

If approved, refunds will be processed within 7–14 working days, depending on your bank or payment provider.

1. How can I make a donation?

You can donate through our official donation website:

We accept:

  • Credit/Debit cards

  • Online banking

  • Bank transfers

  • Mobile payments (if applicable)


2. Will I receive a receipt for my donation?

Yes.
You will automatically receive a digital receipt via email after a successful donation.
For bank transfers, please send the slip to us, and we will issue your receipt manually.


3. Are my donations tax-deductible?

This depends on Sri Lankan tax laws at the time.
We can provide official documentation upon request.


4. What happens to my donation?

Your donation supports humanitarian and social welfare programs, including:

  • Community development

  • Emergency relief

  • Education and health support

  • Poverty alleviation projects

Funds may be directed to the area of greatest need, unless you specify a project.


5. How is my payment information protected?

We use secure, encrypted payment gateways.
Your full card details are not stored by us.


6. I made a mistake in my donation. What should I do?

Contact us immediately with your transaction details.
If the error qualifies under our refund conditions, we will assist you.


7. Can I cancel a recurring donation?

Yes.
If you set up a recurring donation through our platform, you can request cancellation at any time by contacting us.


8. Do you accept international donations?

Yes.
International donors can donate using credit or debit cards or bank transfer to our SWIFT-enabled accounts.


9. How can I confirm my donation reached you?

You will receive:

  • A payment confirmation

  • A digital receipt

  • A transaction ID

If you do not receive these, contact us with your name and payment proof.
