About Us

Humanitarian Foundation Sri Lanka is a non-governmental, non-political, and non-religious organization dedicated to serving vulnerable communities across the country. Founded in 2015 and officially registered in 2017, the organization was born in the aftermath of devastating natural disasters, driven by a deep commitment to support those most in need. From its beginnings as a small group of dedicated volunteers, Humanitarian Foundation has grown into one of Sri Lanka’s trusted humanitarian organizations, now serving over 250,000 people annually across all 25 districts. Our work extends from North to South and East to West, ensuring that assistance reaches even the most remote and underserved communities. The Foundation’s core areas of work include emergency disaster response, community development, healthcare access, education support, and sustainable livelihood programs. We focus not only on delivering immediate relief during crises, but also on strengthening long-term resilience so that communities are better prepared for future challenges. Guided by the principles of humanity and brotherhood, Humanitarian Foundation serves all people in need, without any discrimination based on caste, creed, ethnicity, religion, or nationality. Our teams are fully committed to responding to both natural and man-made emergencies, providing timely and compassionate support to vulnerable and marginalized populations. Through strong partnerships with local communities, government agencies, and international organizations, we have built a wide-reaching network of support. This collaborative approach enables us to design and implement impactful programs that restore hope, uphold dignity, and help build a more just, resilient, and inclusive Sri Lanka for all.
